What is Counselling?

Counselling enables people to look back at their life and review what has happened.

It can also enable us to look at what is happening today in our lives and allow us to review the decisions we have made.

With the help of a friend, or a skilled helper, a person can fill in the gaps and make sense of what’s happening.

Counselling is one of the kindest things you can do for yourself.

How often do we look back at the past in detail, seeking to make a link between the months and years that form a chain back to our start date?

Not often, usually our memory is full of images of the past, flashes of incidents that fill our minds with no real sense of what came before or after.

It’s like we put out hands into a magical bag and pull out….glimmers of the summer of 1996 or a motorcycle ride on the M25 or the time we left school for good or the time two years before when we never thought we would.

Photographs are great if you have them…

How you looked at seven? Take a look at the picture and you will be surprised at how your imaged memory does not come near to the image on the paper.
