Counselling for post traumatic stress disorder

During very traumatic, life endangering incidents we feel acutely and remember acutely. Emotions such as fear and impotence are burned into our hearts with adrenalin and hormones. Think of a soldier at D-Day or in Afghanistan. His system taken over by fear and adrenalin, his emotions running high as they motivate his brain and body to take action. We know this processes favours memory retention. When a person relates harrowing moments in their life during Counselling for post traumatic stress disorder, I know that difficult feelings will come flooding back to them and may make them reply, “I can’t remember”.

With patience, creativity and kindness we can work though the nightmares that no one else sees and find some peace.

If fear, front and centre, is your constant companion making life outside of your head seem  impossible to connect with then maybe you might consider counselling for post traumatic stress disorder.
