Counselling for adoption

I see people who have been adopted as refugees. Imagine you are born to a family that has uncertainty, insecurity and conflict in it’s heart. Where pain and loss, retribution, anxiety and anger are emotions that you are used to and that have informed the way you experience life.Imagine the adults in your life are focused on outcomes that are relevant to them and that you are part of the machinery that helps them access what they need. Imagine that someone else decides you should not live with your family and removes you-refugee status has been forced upon you. Are you seeking Counselling for adoption issues in Poole and Bournemouth? Read on.

Imagine that you adopt customs and attitudes that you use in order to make things easy for you. That does not mean that your needs are met, it simply means that you do not draw negative attention to yourself, incurring emotionally charged exchanges from the adults in your life.

In this situation you might become rootless as you are separated form your own needs. You are in a war zone and survival, rather than establishing your life, is the order of the day.

This is true refugee status and this is what tens of thousands of us live with on a daily basis and it all happens at home.
